Welcome to my world! Let me tell you a little about me.
I'm a Southwestern housewife, and I spend my days feeding my husband and chasing after my two kids. Despite how boring that sounds on paper, I manage to find my life quite fascinating and full of opportunity. On occasion, I don't even mind doing the dishes.
Seven years ago, I made the crazy decision to overhaul my diet in pursuit of better health. Since that life-changing day, I've evolved into an ardent ancestral gourmet: a lover of real food and ancestral health. Today, I shop at farmer's markets, buy local pastured meat by the freezer-full, keep colorful jars of ferments on my counter, bake artisan levain bread, and study evolutionary biology.
An intellectual nomad, I love a good theory. My current fascinations include Jung's theory of psychological types (I'm an INTJ), Seasonal Color Analysis (I'm probably a Bright Winter), a variety of topics in bioinformatics, and pretty much everything on Quora.
While that accounts for the bulk of my time, I maintain a spate of other hobbies and interests, including playing the piano, classical singing, poetry, photography, and growing herbs in our sun room. In a previous life, I worked as a programmer, and when I have free time, I still enjoy hacking on the computer.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy your time here.
